A Taste of World Music | War and the World 1914

Final-flierSt John’s Church, Waterloo, SE1, is hosting a special concert on 28 June at 7.30pm.

It is part of War and the World 1914, the Waterloo Festival’s theme this year and will be “a fantastic celebration of world cultures”.  Artists include:

Reem Kelani
Reem says, “I realised that my vocation was to present the Palestinian narrative through music to a world which struggles to admit that we even exist, let alone that we might have a distinctive and beautiful cultural identity.

Seeds of Creation

Founded by legend Seddik Zebiri, Seeds of Creation brew an excellent blend of traditional Berber music fused with Afro-Blues, Jazz and raw Psychadelic sounds that will transport you deep into the heart of the Sahara.

Mackenzie/Bidgood

Mackenzie/Bidgood are a two piece acoustic outfit specialising in Folk, Bluegrass and Shanties. They are constantly folkin’ all over London town and host the monthly Folk Sessions at The Old Red Lion, Kennington.
